Some Commonly Asked Questions
And Our Answers
Yes, Caroline Bailey is approved to practice as a Psychologist by The Psychology Board of Australia (PBA), so it may be possible for you to apply for a rebate from your Private Health Insurance Provider. However, the amount of rebate is dependent upon the specific terms and conditions of your policy (not by the Psychologist). It is recommended that you speak with your Private Health Insurance provider prior to engaging Caroline’s services.
For Australian clients, Caroline is also a registered practitioner with Medicare, so you may be able to obtain a rebate on your fees, if you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. The level and duration of rebate is determined by Medicare, not the Psychologist (or your GP). You cannot claim both Medicare- and private health insurance rebates on the one service. You can find more information about claiming Medicare- or using Private Health Fund cover here:

Individual sessions are up to 55 minutes. Typically, sessions will involve a review of your recent experiences and activities, psychoeducation (providing you with science-backed facts about certain psychological states and processes), in-session practice of practical techniques or interventions, and ‘take aways’ – worksheets, activities or reflections to help support your mental wellbeing and performance processes.
All sessions are ‘client led’ meaning we follow your agenda – you bring what you want to sessions, it is your space to share and contemplate your issues and concerns in a caring and confidential environment. Best results are often achieved with more frequent contact (sessions weekly or fortnightly) to ensure timely focus upon your day-to-day experiences and help maintain impetus in learning new psychological skills.
That’s entirely dependent on you. Working in a brief therapy approach, we recommend a minimum of six sessions, with a review of progress (from both sides) at six weeks, to determine whether initial objectives have been achieved and/or whether additional issues have arisen that you would like to address.
Clients can either book online via our ‘request a booking’, or arrange ongoing appointments directly with Caroline, at the conclusion of a session.
You will receive an appointment reminder 3 days from the appointment time and date, which you will be required to confirm. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours, 50% of the appointment fee will be charged. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, up to 100% of the appointment fee will be charged.
Yes, all clients will be asked to complete an intake form, including personal details and information for authorisation of online/credit card payments, prior to the commencement of sessions.
This information is stored securely by our payment processing provider (Stripe) for the duration of your service (Dynamic Performance Psychology does not have access to your account details). In line with the Australian Psychological Society and AHPRA practice regulations, we keep clinical notes following each session. These notes are only accessible by Caroline Bailey and used primarily to help reflect upon issues, plan subsequent sessions and evaluate your progress over time. All practice notes are stored securely, in software compliant with APS regulations for data security.
